Cake Mix recipes part 3- Cake in 2 minutes

Have you seen this recipe around? I can't remember where I got this from it is so simple that I memorized it and haven't forgotten.

First off is a little bit of prep
1 box angel food cake mix
1 box of cake mix any flavor
Take a gallon sized Ziploc and mix the cake mixes together really well.

On to the recipe:
3 Tablespoons of water
1/3 cup cake mixes
Mix the two ingredients together in a mug really well. I like to put the water in first to make sure dry clumps don't get stuck at the bottom.
Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds
Here is my cute mug with my yummy cake!
I like to put my cake on a plate open it in half and put some frozen vanilla yogurt on top (what is with me and my frozen yogurt right?!)

Obviously my choice of cake mix was chocolate. After I mix up the water and mix I put a few chocolate chips on top then microwaved the cake.

This cake is also a great diet dessert because you aren't using eggs or oil :)
Enjoy!

Cake Mix recipes part 2-chocolate strawberry layered cake

Okay, I thought I had a better picture of another cake but don't so I am doing this "recipe" today. Basically it's just a way to dress up your box cake.

Doesn't this look gorgeous?! Alright all it is, is a German cake mix prepared according to directions. I'm lazy I know but here are some tips

-grease 9 inch round pans AND use parchment paper cut to fit in the pans
-let the cakes cool completely, some even freeze the cake for about 30 min
-Put on a pretty cake stand
-"frost" with cool whip and arrange sliced strawberries nicely
-drizzle some chocolate syrup over it (I found a great recipe on pinterest for that, or you could use store bought)
-add the next cake layer followed by cool whip, strawberries and chocolate.
-Serve immediately or refrigerate it or it might start to melt

My family LOVED this and kept saying "I HAVE to get this recipe from you!" haha thank you betty crocker for making people think I am an awesome cook!

Cake mix recipes part 1-Margarita Cake

I am going to do a GREAT series this week with cake mix recipes! I was told this last week that my cooking has really excelled in the last couple years. I was also told I should enter my cupcakes in cupcake wars. I laughed and said would they let me have a box of Betty Crocker cake mix on hand?! Anyways I will start this series with a margarita cake recipe. This one is SO simple and fast

I went to Williams Sonoma the other day and they had this recipe. I loved it but didn't want to spend a ton of $$$ on their margarita mixer. So I headed to Wal-Mart and found a Lit so sugar added margarita mixer, for $3.

Margarita Cake:
1 yellow cake mix, made according to directions EXCEPT omit water and use the margarita mix. Bake according to box directions.
While the cake is baking make a glaze by mixing together 1/2-3/4 cup of the margarita mixer with enough sifted powdered sugar (if I'm in a hurry I will just put the powdered sugar in a bowl and whisk it to break down clumps) to thicken it just slightly.
When the cake is golden brown, pull it out, prick some hole in it with a fork and pour your glaze over your warm cake.
chill the cake for a few hours or overnight. Serve chilled and top with some cool whip or whipping cream and whatever berries are in season!

We had fresh raspberries the first time I made this, it was divine!! The second time I warmed it up and topped it with frozen vanilla yogurt and fresh blackberries YUM YUM! I love fresh berries :)
